Our Uncolored Minced Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) is made from soybeans & contains all of the essential amino acids and vitamins. Plus, it is low in calories, carbohydrates, and fat, and gluten-free! Similar to Tofu, TVP absorbs all the flavors and spices you cook with. Our Uncolored Minced TVP is perfect to add to meals such as meat sauce, hamburgers, and meatballs. Before cooking, rehydrate TVP in vegetarian stock or water. If making a meat sauce, add in the dry TVP right into the sauce and let cook.

Our Uncolored and Unflavored Minced Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) is made from soy, making it a great meat substitute that you can use in a variety of dishes that calls for chicken. Simmer in your favorite vegetarian broth or tomato mixture for enhanced flavor. TVP has a variety of great recipe uses including meatless entrees, chow mein, chicken noodle soup, and gumbo. Similar to tofu, TVP will absorb all the spices & flavors you are cooking with. Once cooked and hydrated, TVP increases up to 3x in size, which can bring ingredient costs down. For example, if a recipe calls for 1lb of meat, you may use about 1/3-lb of TVP. Its 2-year dry storage shelf life makes it last longer than its meat counterparts. One ounce of TVP is equivalent to an ounce of its meat counterpart.

Uncolored Minced TVP - Unflavored Looks like real ground chicken, without the fat, cholesterol, and grizzle.  Easy to use, make Great-Tasting Meals – No fat to pour off.  Use for meat sauce, hamburgers, meatballs, or for any recipe that calls for ground beef or ground veal. Directions:  Simmer 8 ounces of Uncolored Minced TVP in 8 ounces of vegetarian chicken broth or water (to yield 1 pound of meat substitute) for 10-15 minutes stirring frequently (until soft).  Use in any dish requiring minced beef.  Yields 8 servings. Note: If making a meat sauce, you can add the dry TVP right into the sauce and let it rehydrate as it simmers. Ingredients:  Textured soy protein (soy flour)
