Our Beef-like Chunks TVP is perfect to add to meals such as stews. Before cooking, rehydrate TVP in vegetable or beef stock. Our Beef-Like Chunks Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) is made from soy, making it a great meat substitute that you can use in a variety of dishes that calls for beef chunks such as stews. Simmer in your favorite broth (vegetarian or beef stock) for enhanced flavor. Similar to tofu, TVP will absorb all the spices & flavors you are cooking with. Once cooked and hydrated, TVP increases up to 3x in size, which can bring ingredient costs down. For example, if a recipe calls for 1lb of meat, you may use about 1/3-lb of TVP. Its 2-year dry storage shelf life makes it last longer than its meat counterparts. One ounce of TVP is equivalent to an ounce of its meat counterpart. *Please note, this TVP is not gluten-free.

Beef-Like Chunks TVP Directions: Simmer 1 bag of beef-like chunks in vegetarian or beef broth or water for 20 minutes or until soft. Drain chunks and add to any dish requiring beef cubes. Store hydrated chunks in the refrigerator. Note: If making a stew, you can add the dry TVP right into the broth and let it rehydrate as it simmers.
