Do you get sick often with a cold? Do you feel tired all the time? Do you have bone and/or muscle aches? Are you depressed? Struggle with hair loss? These are just some of the symptoms of a vitamin D3 deficiency. Vitamin D3, also known as the sunshine vitamin, supports healthy bones, muscles, the immune system and can also help to regulate insulin levels. Around 42% of Americans are vitamin D deficient. Are you one of them?

Please keep in mind it is best to get foods that are non-GMO & organic. Some other packaged foods can contain vitamin D3 therefore make sure to check the nutrition label on the back in the Daily Value section.

Vitamin D3 Can Also Help Your Pelvic Muscles!
Vitamin D3 has been proven to help men and women with urinary incontinence. A 12-week study done in 2013-2017 (based in the USA with women 50 years and older) showed a 40% decrease in urinary incontinence episodes. Remember, vitamin D3 can help to strengthen our muscles & bones. This includes the pelvic floor muscles. To keep it short, our pelvic floor muscles support our bladder. If those muscles are weak, then the bladder muscle, specifically the urethra, has trouble staying close which results in bladder leakage. See the diagram below of a strong pelvic floor muscle versus a weakened pelvic floor muscle.
