To: Whom It May Concern,
Please accept my compliments on your wonderful product, Nana Flakes. As a Registered Dietitian and consultant to long term care facilities I have found that your product has many unique applications.
From your easy to follow recipe, I have used the Nana Flakes to make puree banana (no blenders, no browning, no opening cans, etc.). Besides being part of the BRAT diet in several facilities, Nana Flakes can be used by nursing for residents on tube feeding, as the products dilutes well with water and will not clog the standard tube when properly administered.
In the kitchen, one nursing home is using Nana Flakes to flavor their hot cereals, another facility adds it to their standard cake/muffin mixes to make Banana Cake and banana muffins, without having to order/stock another type of mix. Additionally, Nana Flakes can easily be used for residents who require thickened fluids as they mix well into applesauce and fluids forming the necessary thickened consistency modification.
Congratulations to ND Labs for producing yet another great product.
Yours truly,
N. Kirman, RD

I have been enjoying my first order of Nana Flakes (and sharing them with a friend whose young children have frequent diarrhea). My mother gave me banana flakes (probably not this brand) more than 60 years ago, and though I don't care for bananas, I do like the dried variety. They are delightful on cereal or mixed with a little cream or half and half as a high-potassium treat. I keep a detailed journal of my diet, and lately have discovered that I have been eating less than half of the new recommended daily amount of potassium (which is now 4.7 grams or 4700 milligrams of K daily). Nana Flakes is helping me fulfill this requirement.
Thanks very much. Suz B.
